Executive Director
Sharo Reyes
Sharo Reyes is a passionate communicator, educator, and advocate for women’s empowerment. Born in Mexico City and trained in Communication Sciences and Journalism. She has spent over 15 years working alongside Latino entrepreneurs, families, and women in California, Oregon, and Washington. She started Proyecto Alas as a women’s self-help group, which grew into a powerful program helping survivors of domestic violence heal, grow, and find their strength through education and
community support. As Executive Director, Sharo leads with heart and vision, focused on preventing gender-based violence and building safer, stronger communities. She’s also a proud mom who loves traveling, discovering new cultures, and most of all, spending quality time with her kids. These experiences inspire her everyday to create a world where every woman can live with dignity, safety, and true empowerment.

Gaby Contreras
I'm Gabriela Contreras, I was born in Chihuahua Mexico and have been living in Oregon since 1992.
I have a background in both health and social services, I've had the opportunity to work at OHSU as other hospitals in the area, also at Domestic Violence Center Advocating to Domestic Violence victims. I'm passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in the community specially with a domestic Violence victims.
Outside of work, I love lectures, art, and caring for plants, but more than anything I Cherish spending time with my family, they are my biggest source of strength and inspiration.

Maggie Iraheta​
Born in El Salvador, but a citizen of the world! Maggi is a mother and professional photographer with 12 years of experience captivating her clients in the United States with her art. She is passionate about traveling and community service, but especially about female empowerment through photography and Emotional Intelligence.
Maggi is the founder of Maggi Iraheta Art Photography, teaching photography classes and covering events for organizations and private clients in Oregon, Washington, and Florida.

Graduated from Tangled ends beauty school and holds licenses in makeup artistry, cosmetology, and esthetics.
I create Glow up beauty by E.V where I offer a variety of beauty services, makeup lessons, and beauty cosmetics of my own brand.
I passionate about empowering women and boosting their self_esteem through makeup artistry.

President
​Elizabeth Lopez
Elizabeth is a Library Manager at the Hillsboro Public Library overseeing materials and collections for all ages. She as an extensive background working with Latinx communities as a Librarian and in her prior work serving farmworkers and immigrant communities. Elizabeth has a B.A. from UC Santa Cruz in History and Latin American Studies and a Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. Her favorite authors include Mexican writer Juan Rulfo and American writer Benjamin Alire Saenz.

Teresa Vidal
Teresa Vidal is a Mexican entrepreneur and philanthropist with a passion for serving her community. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, for over 20 years, Teresa owns a cleaning company and enjoys doing nails in her spare time.
Her true passion is helping others. Teresa volunteers whenever she can and considers her family and community her most important priority. Through her work and volunteering, Teresa makes a positive difference in the world.

Treasurer
Isabelle Ermita
Isabelle Ermita is a first generation Filipino-American woman. She has undergraduate degrees in Communication Studies and Criminal Justice, also holding a certification in Emergency Management Communication. A 2023 Portland State University Graduate with Summa Cum Laude Honors, she speaks English, Spanish and Tagalog. Her experiences as an immigrant woman of color helped her become passionate about supporting an intersection of marginalized communities in this country. She is especially involved with the advocacy of women's rights, in Oregon and beyond.
